Frequently asked questions
Can ToolJee recover my password?
No. Passwords never leave your device. If you forget it, you cannot reopen the protected file through us.
User vs owner password?
User password opens the file (with limited permissions). Owner password is for full access control.
Is this the same as Unlock PDF?
Protect adds a password. Unlock removes one when you already know it.
Will every PDF reader support it?
Modern readers support standard PDF encryption. Very old software may struggle.
