shield Privacy & Security Help

Does ToolJee upload my files?

No. ToolJee is a fully client-side utility suite. That means all computation is carried out in your web browser utilizing modern JavaScript APIs. Your documents never touch our hosting servers or third-party networks.

Is it safe to upload sensitive contracts and financial details?

Yes. Because there is no "uploading" occurring, your files remain locally on your machine. This is the safest way to convert or edit documents compared to cloud conversion platforms where your file data travels to remote servers.

How do I merge multiple PDFs?

Navigate to the Merge PDF page, drag your documents into the drop zone, and arrange the file cards into your preferred order. Click "Merge PDFs" and download the compiled file.

Why does the Compress PDF tool take a moment to load?

Compressing PDFs inside the browser involves rendering each PDF page on a virtual canvas at a slightly lower resolution (DPI scaling) and then compressing the canvas image into a JPEG before outputting a compiled PDF. This requires processing power, especially for multipage files.

Why can a PDF fail in-browser?

Common reasons include damaged files, unusual fonts, password protection, browser memory limits, or office/PDF structures that rely on desktop software features. If a file fails, try a smaller sample, a current Chromium-based browser, or a related tool with a simpler workflow.

video_settings Media Trimming & Formatting

What video formats are supported?

Our video trimmer utilizes your browser's native MediaRecorder and HTML5 Video playback APIs. Best results are achieved using MP4, WebM, and MOV files. Highly complex file formats may require server-side converters, which we avoid to maintain absolute user privacy.

Why do some image formats behave differently?

Image support depends on what your browser can decode and what helper libraries can safely process locally. JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, and most standard screenshots work well. Formats like HEIC, TIFF, SVG, or very large source files may vary by browser, memory, and device performance.
